I really like my big rings and the Hydrangea Ring is a dramatic 3cm. With the bold detail inscribed inside the bloom it certainly makes an impression. The shank is reticulated (a technique whereby the metal is heated until almost collapse point then left to cool which creates a texture on the surface) and irregularly smooth making it a very comfortable to wear.
I think this is a lovely image of hydrangeas by Fujiwara Ieyoshi
"Watching the glow
of flickering fireflies at twilight
Love lingers all the more
in a garden coloured by hydrangeas"
